School Review Process
National Partnerships represent a new form of Commonwealth and State government agreements to progress major reforms in a number of portfolios, including school education. AISSA (Association of Independent Schools of SA) are coordinating the National Partnerships projects within the Independent school sector and we are working closely with them at this time.
The overall objective in our participation in the National Partnerships program is to work towards achieving improvement in educational outcomes for students in a sustainable way; to support and achieve innovation and reform at a school level as needed, and to assist in the development of best-practice through independent support and evaluation.
At the beginning of next term, Term 2, we will participate in a school review that will give us valuable information that will result in a School Development Strategy. It is our hope that the direct recipients in this process will be the children and increased learning outcomes for them will be the result.
The review will be conducted by a School Review and Development Team on behalf of AISSA, led by Dr Neville Highett and Aneta Marovich. They will meet with the staff on their professional development day on Monday 19th April, and then with a randomly selected group of students and parents on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st of April. It is desirable that all parents have an opportunity to have input into this review and to enable this to occur, and all parents are invited to attend a Community School Review Evening that will be held on Tuesday 20th April at 7:30pm at the school, including a brief supper and concluding at 9:00pm. A further Feedback Time is scheduled for all parents and staff on Thursday 22nd April at 3:40pm – 5:00pm.
Parents who have been randomly selected will be contacted by Celeste Simpson this week to check availability suitable appointment times. Should you have any questions about the review and the process please contact the Office.
We appreciate your prayers, support and feedback as we seek to continue to develop our school. All of these efforts will benefit our children now and in the years to follow.
