Governance Objectives

 ADELAIDE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS OBJECTIVES 

  • To provide an education of academic and practical excellence, consistent with the teachings of the Bible that will develop the whole person; body, soul and spirit.
  • To assist each child attending the Schools to honour God by meeting the daily responsibilities with which God has entrusted him or her.
  • To help students value themselves as persons created in the image of God, redeemed by Jesus Christ, and made members of His body, the Church, and to express their new life in Christ in their relationship with God and others.
  • To encourage students to strive for excellence in learning according to individual ability.
  • To assist the State in providing it with responsible citizens equipped to contribute positively to the community.
  • To provide support to Christian parents who are home schooling their children.
  • To employ such staff, who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who worship at a local church and who support and adhere to the vision, ethos, values, standards and principles of the Association, as shall be required and found to be necessary from time to time for the proper working of the Schools.
  • To provide an alternative to a secularistic, humanistic philosophy and practice of education.
  • To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.

PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

The purpose of ACS is to cause students to know and serve God in wisdom and understanding pursuing excellence for His glory.
